Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that A1 Speedy Recovery has taken to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our business or supply chains.

Our Business

A1 Speedy Recovery is a vehicle recovery and roadside assistance service operating across South Wales. We provide 24/7 emergency recovery, roadside repairs, accident recovery, and commercial fleet assistance.

Our Commitment

A1 Speedy Recovery is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains.

Our Policies

We have implemented the following policies to prevent modern slavery:

  • Recruitment: We conduct thorough background checks on all employees and contractors
  • Fair Employment: All staff are paid above the National Living Wage and have proper employment contracts
  • Supplier Due Diligence: We assess our suppliers to ensure they uphold ethical standards
  • Whistleblowing: We encourage staff to report any concerns about modern slavery

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include vehicle parts suppliers, fuel suppliers, and business service providers. We take steps to ensure that our suppliers share our commitment to ethical business practices and do not use forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

We assess potential risks in our operations by:

  • Conducting regular reviews of our employment practices
  • Evaluating suppliers based on their ethical standards
  • Ensuring all workers have the right to work in the UK
  • Monitoring working conditions and compensation

Training and Awareness

We provide training to our staff to help them identify and respond to potential signs of modern slavery. Our management team receives additional training on supply chain due diligence and ethical procurement practices.

Reporting Concerns

If you have concerns about modern slavery in our business or supply chains, please contact us immediately. All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated thoroughly.

Our Effectiveness

We measure the effectiveness of our efforts through regular audits of employment practices, supplier assessments, and staff feedback. This statement is reviewed annually and updated as necessary.
