Control Room Operator

NOW HIRING
Cardiff Full-time £24k - £28k + shift allowance

Be the voice of A1 Speedy Recovery! As a Control Room Operator, you'll be the first point of contact for customers in distress, coordinating our recovery fleet across South Wales and beyond. This is a fast-paced role where your communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure will make a real difference to people's days.

What You'll Do:

  • Answer emergency calls from stranded motorists
  • Dispatch recovery vehicles to breakdowns and accidents
  • Monitor driver locations and optimize routes
  • Liaise with insurance companies, police, and customers
  • Maintain accurate records and job management systems

Requirements:

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Calm under pressure and able to multi-task
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, CRM systems)
  • Good geographical knowledge of South Wales
  • Flexible to work shifts (days, nights, weekends)
  • Previous control room/dispatch experience preferred

Vehicle Recovery Driver (Nights)

NIGHTS NOW HIRING
Cardiff Full-time Night Shifts £13 - £15 per hour

Join our dedicated night shift recovery team! You'll be providing essential 24-hour coverage, responding to breakdowns, accidents, and recovery callouts across South Wales during the quieter night hours. Perfect for those who prefer working nights and enjoy the independence of the road.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Clean driving record preferred
  • Comfortable working night shifts
  • Physically fit and able
  • Customer service focused

Night shift hours: Typically 6pm - 6am or similar. Full training provided.
